Thankful Thursday

This kid has gone the last three weeks with only a handful of bolus tube feedings and water flushes.
He is working hard to eat and ENJOYS food!  Super praising Jesus for this and trusting He'll increase our little guy's appetite and endurance for mealtimes.

Our little Cubbies.  Thankful for all the Truth that has been tucked away in their little hearts this year.

Yes, preschool ended over three weeks ago, but I can't miss a chance to be thankful for Jesus like teachers that worked endlessly all year to teach and love on my little people.

 For family togetherness

For 5 minutes of cooperative play between these two:)

For these precious toes (and the rest of him) that joined our family last week.  He'll be staying with us for an undetermined amount of time and he is just precious!

A Shot for the Heart

I don't know about you, but for the past few weeks this heart of mine has been dragging a bit.  When I think about the constant state of mess my home seems to be, the always sticky floors, the summer calendar already filling and these three little people that seem to have never ending needs, my heart begins to feel heavy, overwhelmed and just plain tired.  And those are just the things within the four walls of my home.

Last week I came across this song and it has been like a shot in the heart for me.  It took me a while to figure out what about it has been encouraging my heart so much and I realized that it's because the message of the song is simply the gospel.  It's the gospel that wakes up the heart and stirs it when the heart just wants to drag. It's the good news that there is hope for overwhelmed sinners like myself because the Lamb has overcome. Singing these gospel words to myself this week has been a gift of encouragement and I wanted to share it with you.  So enjoy...and be encouraged.

Thankful Thursday

for concentration and precise fingers

that Elijah has successfully weaned from his bottle

for my little ballerina...because an MRI of her brain suggested she wouldn't even walk and now she is dancing

in an effort to wean Ethan of his tube feedings this year, we're moving from formula to a blenderized diet;
and this awesome company (Blendtec) sent us free blender!
The Lord has also provided a local nutritionist that is willing to guide us through this transition.

this kid is rocking his feeding/speech therapy
in December he didn't know how to move food laterally in his mouth to chew it.  But now, if he's focused on it, he can eat almost anything.
