Thankful Thursday

So it's not that I wasn't thankful on Thursday, in fact I was most thankful for Thursday to be over;)
But here's a few other things I am so thankful for...

Ethan and Addison get two of these "stickers" every month
This week the both got their last RSV shots!

Therapists-I've been reading some other preemie mommy blogs this week and have been reminded how blessed we are to have the amazing therapists that we've had!

This one is a lie-I'm still working on being thankful for these.
If you were in Target on Thursday
you might have been able to tell we were there
You see, Addison opened a pint of them in the cart and proceed to drop them through and then dump them...
we left a trail....a long, smooshy, blue trail.
At least when the target employee saw us attempting to clean them, he told me we could just go and they would cover it.
I don't know why he didn't want two toddlers helping:)

I so wish I had some "in process" pictures
My dad has been helping us for weeks change our living room and I love it!
Much more functional now.
Thank you, Dad!

A reminder I definitely needed on Thursday:)
Thankful for gifts that fill my home with Truth.

Thankful Thursday

The young hearted teaching the young:)

A "spilled" plate landing right-side up
(seriously, this never happens)

Jesus playing with little children
(and if you ask my kids they are playing ring around the rosie)

A small flower given with great passion by little miss

Because of spilled coffee grounds,
my house now smells like french vanilla coffee
when I clean up spills and crumbs:)

 A flip-flop day

Worshiper

Little man LOVES!!! music
Every time we get in the car he asks for this song
And sometimes he asks to get in the car just to listen to it,
even if we're not going anywhere
He sings with great conviction and much passion
It's a little long, but captures his heart so well

Thankful Thursday

That I get to be an aunt again!
Welcome Reese Underwood-we're totally in love with you!

 Date night:)

That a stair case and stuffed animals can become a zoo

I just love it when little people cross their feet

(a little hard to see) Scripture on a carton of eggs...
He is always speaking, if we will just listen...just see.

Thankful Thursday

Do you see it?  Yep, that's a medical syringe that has found it's way into the play kitchen.  Thankful that they're slowly associating tube feedings with real food.

Playtime with friends who care deeply for one another and want to be close no matter how uncomfortable it is

Requested snack time- last week they asked for chips and goldfish; I gladly delivered

Blowing-we've been practicing for weeks on blowing (mostly for his oral motor development) and this boy finally made his flute whistle.

Holding hands:)

Pinteresting

Yes, it's true....I do like a good browse through Pinterest every now and then.  Here's a recent attempt that at least added some color to my drop cloth. The end product found its way to a baby shower.

A little hard to see on this awesome sheet I stole from my mom ages ago:)

Thankful Thursday

Yes, I realize its Friday.
However, I've had trouble keeping track of days this week, so in all honesty I thought yesterday was Wednesday for most of the day.  According to my clock, it's Thursday:)  Hoping my brain gets back on track with the rest of the world this weekend.

Oh the endless possibilities:)  I love playing with this stuff.

A new study; with old and new friends

Imaginations that make a table and blanket into a cave/tunnel/fort/tent

The immense privileged to hold tight to hope in Jesus Christ

Songs that speak great truth!

Mended Heart

Addison had her heart surgery early Tuesday morning and it went great!
She enjoyed some pre-surgery silly's....

They inserted a coil in the hole that looks something like this....

And a little bit later she was back to normal....

A little too much back to herself actually.  Right before her surgery we were told that following the surgery she would need to keep her right leg completely straight and very still for six hours following surgery....seriously?!  Keep a two year old, in a new place, completely still and her leg totally straight for six hours?  We did our best, which wasn't that great.  Thankfully everything went smoothly and we were home by 10:30 the next morning.

Thank you so much for your prayers!  And praise to the Lord for hearing and answering them!

Thankful Thursday

Beautiful Sun-breaking through rain clouds
and allowing outside play in the middle of winter.

Sweet gift from a friend- blooms and conversation:)

Cheesy smiles-his cuteness helps me be a little better with the
big boy haircut that I'm not so sure about

Instruments of art-especially if they are washable:)
